Search Engine Optimization can sometimes be very simple. It all depends on your target keywords and how competitive those keywords are. Local area keywords such as magnolia TX web design is generally very easy to accomplish a high ranking where as general keywords such as drilling rig repair can be a little more difficult.

I’ll do my best to explain the basics.

META tags, incoming links and keyword enriched text on the page are three of the most important SEO factors that I have found.

Meta tags come first. Correct title, robots & description tags are essential. For a better explanation see META tags.

As for incoming links, Directories & Blogs are seen very well by Search Engine Spiders (robots) and can, when linked correctly, boost your website or page rankings. The anchor text links placed in blogs are picked up by the spiders and increase your incoming link count, therefore increased rankings.

web design points to my web design site, horse for sale points to a horse classifieds website, and so on. As you can see, the keywords are the link.
